Far out in the open sea, building nests on the water’s surface,
A hungry seagull took flight to the beach.
Flying over, she noticed me and looked me right in the face,
observing from the shore, I was eating a peach.

She wanted some food, and she did not hesitate,
I felt honored being recognized as a friend,
and I gave her the peach, which she finally ate.
...I honestly thought that from heaven (was sent.)

A symbol of tranquility, wisdom, and healing,
some people believe they are messengers of God.
Watching her eat left me with a peaceful feeling,
but in a second, it was gone, and all of it was pretty odd.

Disappearing into the horizon, she flew away,
and the sun slowly set. It was the end of the day.
