Whenever I think about it,
it aches.
The pain comes back
like it never went away.

Maybe I was always wrong
for thinking
that everything changed.
How foolish of me
when I was the one
telling others
it never changes.

"Time flies by,"
someone said.
But they didn’t warn me
memories don’t.

Am I regretting?
No.      
Am I hurt?
