Fresh Faced Girl (Lyric Poem)
when I was a fresh faced girl
momma said don't go playing with trash
cause trash will ruin your world
now I'm grown
I understand
what momma
was saying
when she said child
don't go playing
I met a guy in Ralstonville
he promised me he'd treat me well
all his promises were but a veneer
cause night after night
he'd thrash me into tears
and I stayed
and I stayed
hoping he'd see the light
and that he'd be contrite
but nothing changed
he just kept on being deranged
momma momma
your fresh faced girl
momma momma
she's seen ruin in her world
A poem based on...Domestic Violence.
