I heard a rumor and didn't buy into it.
Typical gossip by a few that might or might not know you.

Then like a cold it's spread.
Until you yourself has to bring it to an end.

Then it starts right back up again.
Worse of it all it's always started by a friend.

Then they deny it or twisted the story around.
But least you now know where the friendship lies.

Because a majority of gossips contains many fabricated lies.
