you get what you're given so eat what's on the table,

I had a fork with a salt *** and a cracked cup, bruv ate the teapot, the milk jug and a plastic knife, sis scoffed two plates and both of them with floral patterns on and so it went.

Windmill soup if there was enough to go around
and scotch mist on toast if there wasn't,

if we asked Dad what were for tea
he'd say
**** with sugar on
wait and see.

But weren't they happy times?
