I'm thinking of a line
I could walk by you
and feel the cold
well 2
and you're thinking
of lives
or of this tissue
milky and soggy
saturated cords
of thinly visible
breath held aches
and we long
completely
out of dreams
for just love
or company
while

a baseball game
and a war
and a poisoning
and a white wedding
and a cure

and then I noticed you
had nodded off adorably
