I remember hurting when you hurt
Laughing when you laughed
I saw sadness in your eyes
But purity in your heart
I don’t think you meant to do what you did
I forgive you for the pain
And I thank you for being there when you were
I know I left in a hurry
But I could feel you slipping away again
Drugs were your good friend
And I couldn’t win
