Dates are irrelevant,
For now.
One day they will matter.
When someone forgets
Your birthday.
But that's only because
You pay too much attention.
If you hadn't known the date,
You never would have noticed,
Never would be stressing
That you're getting older,
That you've lost your youth,
Because you'd still be living it,
Not knowing who's birthday
You've forgotten,
And not having them remind you.
