I would look out of my window on winters morn
I'd watch her walk past in the snow, my merry maid
no matter the vile weather
she would sing as if it was a warm summers day
she is sunshine and love
she is my merry maid
I succumb to her beauty and grace
for my heart is full of love for her
she is the joy of my life
she is glory and presence
and her name
is just the Merry Maid
