Jan 2022
you were freckled
by the sun and your genes
and every time you looked at me
oh, i felt weak in the knees

and its not like i couldn't see
the flaws in your design
the warning signs
or the gears turning in your mind

but i chose to ignore them
because it might be over now
but i'll always have that summer
settled in your freckled arms
