The languid seeming lizard

The languid seeming lizard,
Like the floating log-like crocodile,
Deceives with its quiet guile,
For if the temperature is right
With just a violent flick of their tail,
They move like liquid lighting
Or water disappearing into sand,
Except one is frightened of
Whereas the other takes off
With your hand.
