I slipped on ice
Bringing the trash can in last night.
January has always been harsh here,
You two have a lot in common.
Even so
it’s warmer than this past summer, softer.
Perspective is a funny thing isn’t it.
You sure lit a fire leavin’
The house was colder with you.
I turn my face back towards the sun.
