the world's a safe place
you don't have to hide away
at least that's what i tell myself at night
to keep my demons at arm's length

i breathe flames of asphalt under daylight
convincing myself it'll all be alright
when light turns to dark with all it's might
i'll camp out under covers
and be safe from all the hunters

at least that's what i tell myself at night
