Words of Magic

I love hearing Poets speak
It feels like all their words are meant for poetry
They dance across their tongues and are filled with
So much emotion and deep thought
I’ve found
As a poet myself
That when we talk about things we love
And believe in
Our words glide over our thoughts and
Come out as sweet
Sugary
Candy of our hearts
I feel like
When I speak to other poets
We have a certain connection
Like our hearts are tied together with a string
A little red string
A string of shared pain
Shared love
And shared understanding
