My memories are fighting each other
Yet they are wounding me
A sad one thrusts it’s sharp point
A happy one lands a stinging blow
A painful one aims for an opening
A funny one slashes with precision
A sweet one achieves a deep cut
A deeply buried one is one long slice
Images flow from my mind like blood
They pool around me
Shiny and warm
No longer
inside
unseen
Unfelt
Moonlight brings an unfair fight
But tomorrow
When the sun rises
All this will be
Just a fading scar
