Win* at this place
if you show your battle scars

Derail yourself here
on the wrong side of the track marks

You ******* limbs
     limping out
     snorted up
     the finish line

Bumped the rest your night
off a Batman Begins DVD in a dingy basement
Running up the stairs at night
crying out into the stars that you'll fight
     until the world is yours

The neighborhood is wishing it had deaf ears for this to fall on

But you'll fall out in due time
     your recipe for reality
     leaves a chemical aftertaste
For morning regrets
     that last
          a lifetime

I've seen the best minds of my generation get wasted
Burnt into routine at the good side of 25

Stop dying out,
There's a fire that rises within us all
Stop snuffing it out,
Your time will come
To drag yourself out of the prison pit of existence
Don't you believe it?
Don't you feel it?
