I’m swimming in a sea of sorrow
This journey better end
I’m wrapped like a mummy
This emotion is no friend

It did not work with me and her
So I’ve gone away
Not sure where I’m traveling to
Still, I’m on my way

Was it fate or circumstance or both?
I’ll never know
She will not leave my thoughts
I can’t give her the heave-**

Still, I wouldn’t trade our love
Now so distant and far
I was happy as I’ve ever been
We shone bright as a star

I will live to smile again
And with someone new
But I’ll never forget my dear friend
I’ll change the color of my life from blue
