They killed John
and Bobby Kennedy too
And Dr, Martin Luther
Whom we all knew
And not to make it
Too complex
They killed Medgar Evers
And Malcom X

****** has been
The history
Of this country
And it’s plain to see
It’s no riddle
Or mystery
Why we have funerals
Consistently

So let’s not forget
Those frontier years
Remember Custer
And the Trail of Tears
The Ku Klux ****
Terrorizing our fears
With savage lynchings
And the crowd’s cheers

Eric Gardner and
George Floyd
Might have you thinkin’
I’m paranoid
But there were 70 others
Which makes that
Null and void
So to analyse it
Would take Sigmund Freud
