You're so quiet, withheld.
So distant from me.
Such is the nature
Of our relationship.

How then is it that I feel so much
From you, for you.
Is it just me filling that void
With my own desires?

The sweet talking ideal lover projected onto you?
Yes there is some of that.
But despite your distance
There's no mistaking your passion.

And you only withhold your emotions about me
(Or don't have them, I'm not sure).
In other things you're so open.
I love that about you, and I love who you are.

So yes you are distant
But oh so close and intimate.
You can't give yourself to me,
But I give all I can of myself to you.
