Poems
May 2013
weariness
We are all that
Was
Ain't nothin left
----
The sun is hardly seen no more
..
The waters and sky
No longer
Pure
-----
No longer fit
..
For a sacred world
Like this one
Supposed to be
----
And for the child
YOU
by name
---
That it was created to support
*
None can be found
Outside the prisons
Or drunken alleyways
Too much pain
Drives a man insane
Too heavy the dying scent
The brutal ******
Of the innocent
--
--
Ain't I seen
Enough already
Of this ugliness?
Ain't it known
Just exactly
What must get done?
*
We are all that was
Ain't even MEMORY
left
.....
Just frightened men
Wondering
What's goin on
--
Slavery
--
Is what it is
Revolution
Is but a vanquished dream
---
Nothin remains
No memory
Just you and I
Will we dare try
To find eachother
So we can die in peace?
Come
I'll look for you
Please
Look for me
Just for the sake of
DIGNITY
Just for a moment
Just for the sake
Of the child
Who might want to know
