And every time,
breathing felt like
a mountain weighing you down
I wish youโ€™d come running into meโ€ฆ
that youโ€™d allow me
to cradle you to sleepโ€ฆ
And every time,
living felt like
a burden drowning you down
I wish youโ€™d come running into meโ€ฆ
that youโ€™d allow me
to cradle you to sleepโ€ฆ
And when youโ€™d wake up
the darkness in your eyes
will have given home
to poignant smilesโ€ฆ
And when youโ€™d wake up
the new moon night
will have given way
to bright morning sunlightโ€ฆ
