It kills me to grieve you
While you’re still breathing
No funeral for closure
Heart’s still beating
Learning you in pictures
Remembering you in frames
A couple years from now
Will you even know my name
Forever has lost its meaning
It won’t ever be the same
This crippling loneliness is defeating
Convincing me I’m the one to blame
But today it’s time to move on
And releasing you is the only way
So I’ll bury you in the past where you belong
And in the past is where you’ll stay
