When the first love ends,

You feel lost.

You don't want to just be friends.

You fell in love but what did it cost?

Being rejected and pushed away.

Being emotionless. Lonely.

Every hour of every day,

thinking of your one and only.

It may have cost a lot,

But what lesson did you learn?

It's that you're stronger than you thought.

That you can push though. Even when it burns.

When the first love comes to a halt,

A new feeling comes around.

A feeling that it wasn't your fault.

A feeling that no one can put you down.

When the first love is over,

Sadness may feel like forever.

But once you regain your composure,

You're stronger than ever.
I actually wrote this with one of my friends in mind. He went through a heartbreak that really broke him. But now, he's stronger than he ever was before.
