These days I find
I struggle to breathe
Amongst the ruins
of humanity
Dust and Rubble
are about all I see
a simple life
so hard to conceive

These days we strive
but not for the best
It's all I, me, mine
forgetting the rest
One step forward
two steps back
With short memories
we've left what we had

Broken windows
glass in the streets
Deep in the hoping
barefoot we don't bleed
Here and abroad
sea to shining sea
But at what cost
to humanity

No one is digging
for the truth anymore
In need of mending
the tear is far worse
A hopeless ending
continually knocks on the door
Humanity in its bidding
has run out its course
