there was a little lady bird. red with ******* spots.
they were very round she had lots on lots
she loved to chew on lettuce for a little treat
a nice big juicy leaf she just loved to eat

roaming round for hours having lots of fun
feeling nice and warm beneath the summer sun
i would sit and watch her watching what she did
bringing back the memories when i was just a kid

when the night comes and the sun as gone to bed
time for her to go to rest her weary head
i will look tomorrow to see my little friend
i will love her always till the very end
