We’re the kids in the dark, we’re the kids in the dark, we're the kids in the dark.
We're the kids with those loud voices when we’re yelling at members of our dysfunctional family walking down the street.
We're the kids in the dark, we're the kids in the dark, we’re the kids in the dark.
We're the kids that take that late night drive and just laugh until one of us *** our pants.
We stay out for hours, we take midnight trips to the park, just swinging the night away (shhh don’t tell mom.)
We're the kids in the dark, we're the kids in the dark, we're the kids in the dark.
We’re those kids that spent most of our nights outside watching old movies on a projector and a sheet. (Just had to wake up early the next morning for summer school)
We're the kids in the dark, we're the misfits in the light, we’re the losers in love.
I’m that kid in the dark that got to experience his first kiss. It was a scary, beautiful moment that brought me out of the dark.
We're the kids in the dark, we're the kids in the dark, we’re the kids in the dark.
We’re the kids that got to stand in a dark while that stage was loudly lit with those Insane clowns up on stage.
We’re the kids in the dark, we’re the kids in the dark, we’re the kids in the dark.
We’re those kids that were showered in flying, fizzing Faygo.
We’re the kids in the dark, we’re the kids in the dark, we’re the kids in the dark.
We’re the kids that felt like we didn’t have to fight for our rights for nights on end.
We’re the kids that would ignite the light every night to lose our sight.
We’re the kids in the dark.
