How could you ever leave a place like Earth?
The whistling trees, the singing birds,

I know,
It's true,
But it was hard to keep my mind off you,

How could you ever leave a place like Earth?
The roaring seas, the desert burn

I know,
It's true,
But it was hard to keep my mind off you,

How could you ever leave a place like Earth?
The place you live, your place of birth,

I know,
I've seen it now,
You rarely come to mind anymore somehow
