You only ever loved me with the lights low, eyes closed, hands slow.
You only ever loved me with a quick touch, flash of lust,
you loved me with a nothingness.

And my everything was suspended,
poured out into hands that couldn't hold me.
You let me slip through your fingers
and drank what part of me remained,

and i called it love.
