Jun 17
a young girl sits
a sad look on her face
a broken heart under a charred chest
the air sits still around her
her frozen skin
she isn’t moving
silent voices urge her to move on
a single tear thaws her cheek
she opens her mouth to speak
no sound comes out
her eyes close
her face crumbles
she is about to breath her final breath
something stirs inside of her
her heart begins to beat again
a steady breath comes back
she looks down
a hand is holding hers
a pair of deep brown eyes look up
she is alive
because anything is possible when there is love.
