Sometimes I let myself imagine
What it would be like
If I was all I had,
Then I get scared of my lonely
Knowing my own isn’t the best company.
And I’m sorry
Dear love,
You don’t deserve the world
You need the universe
For you are a blanket of stars
Flowing through the darkest of voids
Lighting the emptiest of galaxies.
Yet all I can give you
As I stare at this foggy mirror
Is the list of all I want to return,
When I could’ve stared at these scars
Saying “thank you for stitching my broken
Whole.”
