Apostrophe to Anxiety.

O how I feel breathless as your embrace is like being in a jail cell
Bars of steel surround me making it hard to interact with people around me
Struggling to break you off as you siphon the energy out of me
You found me in the depths of despair and infected me with your venom of fear
Almost like a parasite looking for a host to latch on to

You claimed me as your prisoner the night I said “I’m just going to stay home”
