Inky blackness everywhere
Broken by moonlight and starlight.
The moon cast a light on everything,
Making shadows longer and distorted.
The wind sounds ghostly
As it blows through the trees.
People are sound asleep
Inside their safe little houses.
Animals come out,
It is their domain for now.
By the times the sun chases away the moon
The animals retreat to their own secret places.
