These eyes look on with a pinched nerve
Clenching them to feebly cry.
Petals and daffodils find their way to my nose
Only to wreak havoc as a screech of pain breaks through the fire.
Misery, O sweet Misery, has come to my side of town
As she ***** the joy of life from my time on earth
With her pouty lips and dreadful skirt.
Mirrors reflect to the heart's content except when
Your life is a lie that's only half-kept.
