Hold on my dear
To the tail of the years
Don't dare let them go

Although they will try
To wiggle outright
Do your best to tightly hold on

They'll slide and they'll slip
Right out of your grip
Before you even know

It will battery and beat
As it to and fro sweeps
If you're prone to blink don't

Your hair will turn gray
As the tail wags away
And it certainly won't be slow

So grab a-hold tight
Hold on for dear life
Don't dare let the years go
