Talk on the news,
that you have been used
Well it’s not completely untrue

Because behind closed doors,
She fakes her own skin,
it’s not as thin as she says

You don’t mind the questions she deflects,
Because you see her reflection
Well I suppose she learned from the best

And her bones are aching,
her femur is breaking
Her hair grew and her eyes turned brown,
she took the mirrors out of the house

But given the chance to leave
you still have belief
She won’t change
Please leave, be safe

I’ve known
her
for 14
straight
years
Lauren
put the
gears
in her
head
And she’s
leaving them
there
