As the days go by,
Hour by hour,
Dread fills my mind,
Scenes of horrors,
Fear haunts me,
My demons taunt me,
Whispering to me of times that could never happen,
Alas, there is always a chance,
Therefore, I am a ticking time bomb,
Awaiting, if ever, to go off.

If I were alone,
Going off on my own,
Death would come find me,
Lurking just around the corner.
