He ran up and hugged her
She had tears of joy
Falling down to her neck
They hadn't spoke in 10 years
Since he committed his crimes
It was a soft, quiet morning
He asked for forgiveness
But she could not speak
He let out loud cries
And she only sank deeper
Further away into the dark
She whispered, "Goodbye"

He had loved her so much
But in their time together
Her rarely had said it
Now, 10 years after his death
She dreams of him
He had taken a piece of her
