I remember you there, with your back against the wall.
Baseball cap giving you some kind of mystery.
Some kind of shadow.
You were calm that night.

But your eyes.
You looked at me that night,
and I knew

It was always your eyes.
Always in the shadow of that cap.
Leaving a mischievous smile peeking out at me.

When you did look at me...
