As hard as I try
My moves only push him farther away,
So it seems... but perhaps I am mistaken?

While he hasn’t the slightest hint
That the smallest act of acknowledgement
Would send my heart soaring
Away from the voices of roaring tongues
In the mouths
Of people who misunderstand

The silent melodies
Of his still lips
Only makes me wonder more
