Resentment is an obstruction
That keeps us from loving ourselves or anyone
It hurts no one but us
And holds your joy under the gun

It hardens in your heart
Takes away inner peace and never lets it go
And the only way to relieve it
Is to forgive and to let go

So try to see your part and put it behind you
The good that came of it and how you'll apply it
Set boundaries and hold them true
And start your day anew
