Never did what we said we would
Felt all alone
Knocked as hard as I could
But you were never home
When I needed you
You didn't come through

So now I just lie here
You're not next to me anymore
Trying to forget
The world I created

Never knew how to say how I feel
Next to you I felt confused
Everything felt real
But now I just feel used
Those three words were said too fast
It wasn't enough and it didn't last

So now I just lie here
You're not next to me anymore
Trying to forget
Everything you ever said

I was trying to plant a garden together
But nourishment ceased from your side
Your moods shifting like the weather
Flowers trampled by the unsteady ride
Wasted time chasing you
Lost my grace falling for you

So now I just lie here
You're not next to me anymore
Trying to forget
That we shared a bed
