A conversation with you is one through a one-way mirror.
I hear every word you say.
You only hear your own words bouncing off the cold, concrete walls.
You ramble on for hours about what you think is right.
You can't even conceive of listening to foreign, challenging ideas.
Everything I utter gets lost.
A conversation with you is one through a one-way mirror.
Frustration builds a dam in my chest, preventing the waters of mutual respect from flowing.
You have taught, no, trained me to not speak to you.
Why waste my time talking through your one-way mirror?
If you refuse to listen to my only words
I refuse to talk at all.
I refuse to talk.
