Even a star is hauntingly beautiful
In reality it is not there
The brilliance it presents
Is only a memory to be grasped
By the human mind

That night I could see the reflection of
The Big Dipper in your sparkling eyes
And you asked me what I was thinking
About but tonight I only hear the
Silence of dead stars, see empty void,
And feel ground

Sometimes I think our moments
Must have been captured and
Frozen in the cold black universe,
And I’d like to reach back in time
To its outskirts, through the particles
And galaxies gliding ever onwards
To find you

Yet what time has done to us
It can’t keep doing forever, when
Time’s up, yes, stars die away but
Supernovas also explode and formulate
Nebulas from which stars reform and
Shed light as brilliant as billions of stars

Therefore when we too are born again,
We will meet in the place where time
Ends and eternity begins, in that point
Where hand in hand, we will float away
And spend eternity together
