when I finish reading a book
I would always take my time
to hold it in both of my hands
to feel the pages between my fingers
to cherish the moments of
being accompanied by strange yet
familiar words
to thank for the knowledge
it has given to me
to tell myself that I would remember
the story that lies deep in the heart of the book

when you decided to leave me
I hope you took the time to spend it with me
the way I would take the time to spend it
with my book
before you close our chapter off
I finished the last chapter of Murakami's Men without Women and was instantly inspired to write this
