my heart is rusting over. i can't control it
guess that happens when secrets are told.
they are like ice in the pavement
they only seek to estrange us.
(you're not depressed if you make people laugh)
friends turned into total strangers;
i used to lean on you,
now i'm barely sure if i can spell your name.
i shouldn't have played that game.
(it gets you high but it can never last)

and in the end
the love you make
reciprocates the love
you take
"'Angry, and half in love with her, and tremendously sorry, I turned away.' - Nick Carraway" - F. Scott Fitzgerald (had to get some stuff out of my mind and off of my chest)
