I never really said goodbye, did I?
I think I hugged you but I'm not sure
It was just you and I and a doorway between us
Words passed from you to me
Something about a big opportunity,
One you couldn't miss
I think I cried but I'm uncertain
And anyway, what's a little distance?
I don't know
Maybe its the lack of your scent in the air
Or perhaps your consistent presence in my favourite "People who left" seat
Correct me if I'm wrong but I didn't really say goodbye, did I?
