He sat in the periphery of his own life
(And asked 'are you okay?')
And he didn't know how to answer
Or who was asking for that matter

(Why won't you go away)
He whispered back to himself
And sat in silence

Outside and within
And watched the red light
Flicker across the window pane
(Am I okay)
He asks himself,
Really meaning, will things ever change.
