The person who is humble

recognises his limitations and shortcomings
strives to overcome himself
is eager to learn and understand what makes a good life/person
gives due credit to those who deserve
never envies others
respects the rights of everyone
does not impose his beliefs or views on others,
even if he thinks he is right
tolerates the imperfections of others
knows his boundaries
uses polite and edifying language in dialogues
never seeks to compare himself with others
is never boastful
has a tranquil philosophy
accepts adversity that comes his way
with equanimity and prosperity, with silent gratitude
knows what it is to be human and stretches out to those in need
is content with what he has and does not strive for more
has a sense of humour and much joie de vivre
affects others by his meekness and kindness
makes those around him comfortable  as he is fair and never judges,
nor is he ever extreme in words or deeds
is a good and patient listener
sees beauty in the smallest things as his heart and mind are attuned
towards what is noble and sublime
acknowledges that, as his knowledge is limited, opens his heart and mind to what is unknown and unknowable

ultimately, he recognises his own  mortality and is unfazed in the face of death and would say:
      in accepting death, this I count to be the greatest humility.
