Don’t dry your eyes too soon
You feel more than we are able
It’s seems more than you can take
It’s like you pay the worlds debt
They said Jesus already tried once
He sent you because of all the hate

Don’t dry your eyes just for me
If it’s you then that’s what you should be
You wait by the bed while they sleep
I will wait until your heart has room for me

Don’t dry your eyes too soon
It’s never because you’re too weak
A cursed gift because you always care
You never wash your hands of it
Like sand pulling up the ocean blanket
Dripping with life you are always there

Don’t dry your eyes just for me
If it’s you then that’s what I want you to be
You always are the first one they see
I will wait until your heart has room for me
