I am burdened with,
And consumed by,
Visual poetry.
When the surface is scratched,
Or even just lightly bruised,
My eyelids are stretched,
Far beyond their natural capacity,
In wonderment,
At the terrifying beauty,
That exists,
In the minutia,
Of the achingly ordinary.
